Hospital sent her there. They charged my mom and I 17,000 dollars a month. I could not get her out of there with out the help of a local care facility. Staff was kind.

While there my mom didn’t recurve any of her correct meds. The staff that helped her daily were all very nice as well as the physical therapy staff. The nurses and admin staff were rude and refused to listen.

We were never able to place my mom there but I just had to mention how unprofessional I feel this place is. In trying to get info I left 4 messages and after I spoke to one person I was told she would call me back in 5 minutes and I never heard from them…..only to hear from the caseworker at the hospital that she was denied. It is heartbreaking enough dealing with this situation but they only made things worse.

Chehalem Post Acute deserves a full 5-star rating for their exceptional care. The facility itself is clean, organized, and welcoming, which immediately gave our family peace of mind. The nursing staff and caregivers were kind, patient, and attentive. The therapy team worked with encouragement and professionalism, helping my loved one make steady progress while always keeping us informed. It was evident they care about the long-term well-being of their patients. The transition process in and out of the facility was smooth, with staff helping us navigate paperwork, planning, and next steps. Overall, the compassion and dedication shown by everyone at Chehalem Post Acute made a meaningful difference during a challenging time. Chehalem Post Acute absolutely deserves 5 stars for the care my loved one received. The nursing staff were kind, attentive, and clearly dedicated to their patients. They took time to answer questions, explain what was going on, and make sure my loved one felt supported and comfortable. The building is clean, and the day-to-day caregivers went above and beyond on a regular basis. If I had one small area for improvement, it would be parking can be a bit limited at busy times. Overall, the positive far outweighed any minor concerns. The care, compassion, and effort from the team at Chehalem Post Acute made a real difference for our family, and I’m grateful for everything they did and continue doing.

My step mom is here at this facility. I live in California. I haven’t been able to get a hold of her in months. Everytime I call I get put on hold or call gets dropped. Get told they will have someone call me back…THEY NEVER DO! I’ve emailed my concern for my mom. I need to know how she’s doing. The staff members are insensitive I find it rude the way they are treating my concern. It’s so upsetting.

Ashley is such a great person very happy all the time, I want to take the time to thank Jacqueline the Activities Director for always coming in checking on me there times it feels like I’m a burden and Jacqueline makes me feel wanted and appreciated in this building a huge shout out to her!!!

My uncle was here after a car accident. He was very dissatisfied with the care received. He was left sitting on the toilet chair for 45 minutes, more than once. It frequently took over half an hour for someone to respond to a call for assistance. He was pleased with the young man who did his physical therapy, but that was the only thing he could recommend. If any other facility in available for your loved ones I would strongly suggest not staying here.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My grandma is in the facility and I am never able to reach her. I just tried to call today and finally someone answered after 3 tries and long wait times, and whoever answered the phone kept talking over me and was extremely rude and dismissive. How is this person in the healthcare industry? They should be reviewed. They only have 2 cordless phones for the residents, how is anyone able to get ahold of their family or friends? They should get more phones if this is the case but they wont because that means that the “care staff” will actually have to work. After reading the other 1 star reviews my experience aligns with theirs. This place should be ashamed, and quite frankly how are they still open? Embarassing, shameful, disrespectful, dismissive. I am in the healthcare field and I would never treat anyone the way this person had. Patient, or family.

My husband transferred here after 5 days of ICU followed by 2 weeks+ in hospital. He needed considerable help — physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy. He has made remarkable progress at Chehalem Post Acute. In adddition, I find the staff always cheerful, considerate of my welfare as well as his, happy to answer my questions. This matters a lot when I am facing difficult decisions! We look forward to being able to return home together after this outstanding care.
